The Regional School District #16 Board of Education is in the process of developing a spending plan for 2016/2017. The Board has created a survey that is intended to provide all stakeholders with an opportunity to submit comments, ideas and responses to key questions. The information and comments received will assist the Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools in developing a spending plan that is representative of the needs of the school district and the residents of the towns of Beacon Falls and Prospect.

The survey consists of questions related to general budget priorities, as well as some new programmatic activities. Most questions also have open-ended response fields to allow for additional comments/input.

The Board of Education has several budget meetings/workshops scheduled over the next several weeks. A public Hearing on the Board of Education's Budget will be held on March 30, 2016. The Annual District Meeting is scheduled for May 2, 2016, at which time a vote may be taken on the 2016/2017 budget.

When developing a spending plan, the Board of Education seeks to balance the needs of the entire school district while maintaining a high quality instructional program.

Kindly take a few minutes and complete the Budget Survey. The opportunity to complete the survey closes at 1:00 p.m. on February 5, 2016
