Reason for Survey
It is important to provide a feedback survey opportunity to the wider community in relation to this document “Australian Guidelines for Estimation and Classification of Coal Resources”. The review committee believes if the proposed document is to be considered a successor to the 2003 edition of the “Australian Guidelines for Reporting of Inventory Coal, Coal Resources and Coal Reserves” then opportunity for feedback must be given. Without providing such an opportunity it cannot be clearly demonstrated that general acceptance exists for this document to replace the current Coal Guidelines as the new supporting document to the JORC Code.

The review committee is requesting individuals provide one feedback survey only. We would like to thank each survey respondent in advance for the time taken in reviewing the exposure draft and the completion of this survey.
Survey Framework
Participants to this survey are encouraged to have a hardcopy or online version of the exposure draft to refer to as they complete this survey (see https://www.ausimm.com.au/content/docs/australian_coal_guidelines_exposure_draft_march_2014.pdf).

The survey is broken down into a standard series of questions for each section (1-4 and 6-11) and subsections (5). There is also a list of general questions that the committee requires for a demographics analysis. The review committee wish to evaluate who makes contributions during the process of providing an exposure draft for public comment. Some of the questions are mandatory and will require answering for you to proceed with and complete the survey. Please note that no personal information provide will be used for purposes other than undertaking a statistical analysis of demographics. Your personal details will not be distributed to others outside of the review committee. If you make suggested changes to the exposure draft your contact details may be used to obtain clarification into comments made.
