PLEASE ANSWER OUR SURVEY REGARDING A POTENTIAL VISITOR CENTRE AT WESTFIELD!

For many years, the idea of having some sort of Visitor Centre at Westfield Heritage Village has been discussed by staff, volunteers and visitors. Such a facility could provide suitable space for events, school groups, locker facilities, improved washrooms, and possibly even other visitor amenities such as an expanded gift shop, a resource centre, a small auditorium and lecture room facility, etc.

Earlier this year, a consulting team consisting of TCI Management Consultants (who specialize in strategic planning for cultural facilities), Reich + Petch (architects who have designed visitor centres across Canada) and KCI (fundraising specialists) had been retained to undertake a feasibility study to determine once and for all whether a Visitor Centre is needed, and what it would cost to build and operate. They are currently undertaking interviews, staff and community consultations, and reviewing the common success characteristics of other successful Visitor Centres.

One of the key sources of input on this opportunity as well is the perspectives of users, volunteers and the general public on the question. This questionnaire is designed to provide that opportunity. This confidential questionnaire will take you only about 5-10 minutes to answer. Should you have any questions about this project overall, or about this survey specifically, please contact either myself or a representative of our consulting firm, at the coordinates listed below.
