Notes for proposal submissions

Expenses - The conference continues to provide a high quality programme at very low cost because of the generosity of the presenters. The ASE is unable to pay fees, travelling and accommodation expenses. All presenters are entitled to one free day’s registration for their contribution to the programme. Conference sessions run from 0900 until 1700 on every day except Wed 7 Jan where there is a later start.

Audio-visual (AV) Equipment, Computers and Science Apparatus  - You are asked to detail required audio-visual equipment when submitting your proposal. Most seminar rooms are fitted with data projectors but you may need to provide your own laptop. Please give your full lab requirements in this proposal submission.

Health and Safety  - All presenters are reminded of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974. All contributors have a responsibility to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of visitors to the Conference. The conference team should be informed of any proposed session which involves the use of children, animals, ionising radiations or explosives. The ASE Safeguards Committee has outlined ASE's health and safety policy at conferences in the Risk Assessment Form. Proposers of practical sessions will have to declare that they have carried out risk assessments by submitting this form.

Proposals will be accepted at the discretion of the ASE and only if they comply fully with the criteria - Please see full notes
