Urea Fertilizer Volatilization Study - Post Survey
We are asking you to participate in this survey to determine if and how recent MSU research on practices that affect losses of urea fertilizer to the atmosphere (“urea volatilization”) has impacted your management practices and knowledge. This information will help shape our future research direction in the area of urea volatilization. You have been chosen to participate in this study because you are a producer in Montana, Idaho, or Wyoming.
Completion of the survey should take 5 to 10 minutes and is completely voluntary. If you choose to participate, your responses will be anonymous and confidential. There is no personal benefit, consequence, compensation, or cost for participation or non-participation in this research. There are no risks associated with your participation in this study. The survey answers will be used to help Montana State University, University of Wyoming, and University of Idaho soil extension specialists better understand 1) current nitrogen management practices that affect urea volatilization on grain farms in their state, 2) current producer knowledge of this issue, 3) regions within these states where we need to focus our education efforts, and 4) where we should be heading with future research.
If you have questions regarding this research, the data collection or analysis process, or plans for distributing the results, you may contact Clain Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org or (406) 994-6076.
