This speaker agreement is designed to maintain the highest quality of educational standards and to set clear expectations for the delivery of all content related to the program. You are the reason why this conference will attract a strong and diverse audience. Your willingness to share your knowledge and expertise is deeply appreciated.

The AIA will offer a reduced registration fee for all presenters. Please note: No reimbursement is available for travel or lodging costs. The program will accept a limited number of remote speakers and/or panelists who cannot attend in person. If any of your speakers are remote, please indicate below.

There will be no extensions to this deadline, though you may be contacted about combining or altering your presentation to fit into the schedule. All main and supplemental speakers must complete this speaker agreement in order to consider the submission complete.

* 9. Speaker Quality Commitment:

I recognize that as the speaker of this AIA/CES registered program I will deliver the program, as approved by AIA/CES, without endorsement, bias, marketing or sales orientation. Also, I understand that as an AIA/CES registered program it does not include content that may be deemed or construed to be an approval or endorsement by the AIA or any material of construction or any method or manner of handling, using, distributing, or dealing in any material or product.

To ensure these benefits are accomplished, I agree to:

1. Ensure that company logos, product name, and branding are limited to the first and last slides only of any presentation. Recognize that any information and handouts distributed are done with the intent to reinforce the learning objectives.

2. Defer product and proprietary specific questions for discussion either after the course has concluded.

3. Deliver the course as it relates to the learning objectives.

4. Strive to make presentation and materials as accurate, appropriate, and interesting as possible within the timeframe for which the course was registered.

5. Ensure that the Quality Assurance slides provided by conference organizers are included and reviewed with participants during all PowerPoint presentations.

6. Abide by the Ethics of the AIA/CES Registered Provider System.

Warranty of Ownership: By signing this agreement, the undersigned warrants that all materials used in the presentation or distributed to attendees are the property of the undersigned, or, if they belong to others, that the undersigned has permission for their use and has the right to convey to the AIA the rights granted in this license. The undersigned indemnifies and holds the AIA harmless from any and all liability, expense, or damage arising out of violation or alleged violation of this warranty.

License to Reproduce Presentation: The American Institute of Architects claims a copyright in any or all published material (e.g., conference reports, audio or videotapes, newsletters, and other written material) related to or arising from the conference. The undersigned grants to the AIA the permanent, non-exclusive right to publish and/or reproduce the presentation and/or the author’s printed handout material, in printed hard copy, video/audio tape, electronic multimedia, and/or Internet-based media. Any publication of these original materials by the AIA will be accompanied by an appropriate attribution of authorship. This license to publish is granted to the AIA by the undersigned at no cost to the AIA.

* 14. Resources and Support: The AIA will provide an LCD projector, screen, podium with microphone and one lavaliere microphone. I will provide my own computer to use to present the session. The presentation will self-contained as wireless internet may not be available onsite.
