Thank you for your willingness to participate. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs (ASPs) exist, are being planned, how they are structured, and which activities are performed in solid organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplant centers. IT SHOULD TAKE LESS THAN 10 MINUTES TO COMPLETE THE SURVEY.
The goal of an ASP is to optimize antimicrobial prescribing for hospitalized adults and children in order to achieve the best and safest clinical outcomes. Comprehensive ASPs may employ various strategies to enhance antimicrobial prescribing, such as formulary restriction, clinical guidelines, antibiotic order forms, and prospective audit and feedback. Many hospitals may utilize one or more core ASP strategies without actually having a formalized ASP.
The findings from this IRB-approved exempt research study will be disseminated through professional publications and presentations. Your answers will be completely anonymous.
