People for Education is embarking on a five-year project – Measuring what matters -- to broaden the Canadian definition of school success by expanding the indicators used to measure progress.

Literacy and numeracy are essential for further learning and success in life, but up to now, no one has developed an easy-to-understand set of indicators that reflect a fuller set of Canadian goals, which answer the question “are we providing students with the education they need for long-term success?”
