Kea Performance in production
We got only 20 responses. Eight of these were from people with 10,000 or more dhcp clients. One interesting fact I noticed (not statistically significant as nothing about this survey is), was that those with more clients generally offered shorter leases. The larger deployments had typical leases of 15 minutes to an hour, while a least of 1 - 12 hours was most common in the smaller deployments. Not surprisingly, the smaller deployments did not have any problems with performance. Most respondents reported <50 leases per second, but the larger systems reported 50 - 500 LPS.
