1. Scholarship & Financial Aid Application Instructions
Students who have merit and need for financial aid in order to attend the Young Entrepreneurs for Leadership & Sustainability program may apply by completing and returning this online form within 7 days of submitting their Program Application. If you have not yet completed the online portion of the Program Application, please go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/yels2012application and complete it now.
Scholarship applications will be evaluated in the order in which they are received on the basis of the applicant's academic merit, their financial need, the amount of funds available for scholarships this year, and the criteria set by the donor (if any). We anticipate granting scholarships in the amount of $500-$3000 each, though we hope to be able to grant a few full scholarships. We encourage you to fundraise in your own community to help makeup the difference between your Scholarship award (if any) and the balance of the Program Fees.
All information provided below will be held in confidence by staff of the Young Entrepreneurs for Leadership & Sustainability program at the University of Florida.
This Scholarship & Financial Aid application should be completed by the student applicant and their parent(s) and it must be submitted along with a complete YELS Application (the online form, in addition to this online scholarship application, as well as a packet including an essay, school transcript, and two letters of recommendation).
The $50 application fee may be waived for students who demonstrate significant financial need. If you are unable to pay the $50 application fee, please explain your need for requesting a fee waiver in the "Statement of Need for Financial Aid" section of this application.
