Thank you for taking the time to provide your input. This online survey is an important part in developing the West Kootenay 100% Renewable Energy Plan. Your participation will help shape our communities during an important time.

Nine local governments across the West Kootenays (including Slocan, Nelson, Rossland, New Denver, Silverton, Castlegar, Warfield, Kaslo and the Regional District of Central Kootenay) are working together to create the plan, which will have a draft released in mid-2020. Our goal is to reach 100% renewable energy and zero emissions by 2050 across our community energy use.

This survey is for residents of Slocan, Rossland, New Denver, Silverton, Castlegar, Warfield, Kaslo and the rural areas of the Regional District of Central Kootenay.

Please note that the City of Nelson already issued a similar resident survey earlier this year. This input will be incorporated in the West Kootenay 100% Renewable Energy Plan.
