WA WRITING SECTOR SURVEY |
Western Australia’s writing sector has a strong history, but the ecology of the writing sector is changing rapidly, not just in WA but everywhere. There are now many more pathways from writer to reader and an increasing demand for products from writers, ranging from education to new media apps and video games.
Positive Solutions has been engaged by the Department of Culture and the Arts (DCA), which is undertaking a review to identify challenges and opportunities for the sector. We will map out the current ecology of the sector, and investigate how policy changes might put writers in the best possible position to grasp these opportunities.
