Question Title

* Dorchester vs. Emerald Explorer

Dorchester: This year, more stations will be available in Dorchester than ever before. Featuring a unique design from the youth artists of nonprofit Artists for Humanity, this bike celebrates the history and culture of Dorchester as it travels throughout the system.

Emerald Explorer: The winning design in Hubway's 2014 "design-a-bike" contest. Designer Amy Fater, a Senior Campus Planner for Harvard University, used a map of the Emerald Necklace surrounding the Charles River to celebrate how residents and visitors alike can connect to the beauty of our cities.

* East Boston vs. Roxbury

East Boston: In fall 2017, Mayor Walsh unveiled this unicorn, designed by the youth artists of Artists for Humanity, to commemorate Hubway's first 10 stations in Eastie. The bike features an abstraction of clipper ships famously built by East Boston's own Donald McKay. The colors are drawn from flags that represent the rich heritage of today's neighborhood, including Italy, El Salvador, Brazil, Columbia, and the Refugee Nation.

Roxbury: In summer 2016, we celebrated Hubway expansion in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. Also designed by the youth at Artists for Humanity, the bike features three important figures in Roxbury's history: Ruth Batson, Melnea Cass, and Elma Lewis.

* Go Boston 2030 vs. The Red Sox

Go Boston 2030: On March 8th, the City of Boston released its Vision and Action Plan for a bold transportation future. The Go Boston 2030 bike celebrates the thousands of people who informed the plan and features how we intend to get around: bicycling (of course!), walking and rolling, taking transit, hopping in an autonomous vehicle, and even floating on a hoverboard.

Red Sox Green Monster bike: The Red Sox, through its charitable Foundation and Sustainability initiatives, have been long time supporters of bike share, featuring in-game Hubway ads on Earth Day and throughout the season and encouraging ticket holders to take Hubway to the game. Wally the Green Monster introduced this bike in spring 2016.

* Greenovate vs. 1 Million Rides

Greenovate: The Boston Yeti unleashed this bike on Earth Day 2016 to bring awareness to Boston's work against climate change. Greenovate is the City of Boston's initiative to involve the broader community in implementing the City's Climate Action Plan and reducing our greenhouse gas emissions 25% by 2020 and 100% by 2050.

One Million Rides: Hubway riders surpassed the 1,000,000 ride mark in July 2013. As of March 2018, Hubway riders have taken over 6 million rides and counting.
