UEBT Standard Revision |
Survey on UEBT 2025 Standard Consultation Draft
Background
UEBT reviews its standard every five years, following international best practices and our internal procedures. In 2024, we assessed the current standard and found it remains fit for purpose. However, based on feedback and experience since its 2020 release, we identified areas for improvement in clarity, applicability, and impact. As a result, UEBT is conducting a limited revision. No major changes to the scope or completely new topics are planned.
What is being consulted and by whom?
UEBT has identified priority areas for improvement and developed a consultation draft with key changes highlighted under each principle. A 45-day public consultation will take place ending on 31 August 2025. We welcome input from all stakeholders—brands, processors, producers, farmers, civil society, and regular users of the standard (e.g. UEBT members, certificate holders, verification clients). We especially encourage contributions from underrepresented groups, including field workers, producers, and women.
Feedback can be submitted online using this form. A summary report will be published after the revision.
How this form works
- Download the full consultation draft here. We advise you to keep it open while you are answering this survey.
- The survey starts with four general questions.
- This form then covers each of the 7 principles of the UEBT standard:
- Each section includes a summary of key proposed changes.
- You will then have the opportunity to provide comments on specific principles, criteria, or indicators by adding feedback directly in the relevant comment box.
If you have any questions on this consultation you can write to us directly at info@uebt.org
