Our research shows the design of strategy to be a well-trodden path, with knowledge on strategic execution to be underdeveloped. This is why we are undertaking this study.
On designing this study, we had the following questions:
· How should one define strategy and execution? Are they one of the same or different?
· What factors enable and constrain strategic execution?
· When execution becomes a barrier in implementing strategy, what action(s) can/do leaders take to resolve?
Moreover, how does the above differ across industry sectors and organization sizes?
