A Place of Belonging for Seattle's Native Community

Thank you for taking our survey that is made by and for Native People. This survey is about a Native Neighborhood, a place where we can create a community of belonging for Seattle’s Native community. Your opinions, thoughts, and ideas will be anonymously included in a report that will advocate for further planning, funding, and investments for a Native Neighborhood.

This survey uses the terms Native and Indigenous to represent American Indian, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian, First Nation, and Indigenous People of all nationalities.

The Native Neighborhood survey is for:
  • Native People of all tribal affiliations and nationalities
  • Indigenous People who visit, work, or live in Seattle
  • Anyone with a family or ancestral connection to Native People
To take this survey, you are not required to meet the federal government's definition of tribal enrollment.

We acknowledge that the land Seattle occupies is the ancestral homeland of the Coast Salish Peoples.

When you are done, the thank you page will give instructions about entering the survey prize drawing and/or requesting a copy of the final report using your contact information which will be stored separately from your survey responses.

If you have any concerns or questions, you can reach the Native Neighborhood feasibility study lead researcher Demarus Tevuk (Inupiaq) at skoden@naahillahee.org. To learn more, go to the Native Neighborhood Community Study website here.
