If you would like to share your personal experience of cancer we would love to hear from you.

Hearing real life stories may encourage people to get any symptoms checked out with their GP or go for the screening they’d been putting off, can provide hope and support to people who may be going through a difficult time and can highlight the importance of early detection and symptoms to look out for.

Your stories help us engage with the public and may encourage people to make a donation or take part in one of our fundraising events, therefore supporting our work to beat cancer every day, in every way, and save more lives.

You may:
• Be living with cancer or in remission
• Be caring for someone who has cancer
• Have lost a close relative to cancer

Some ways you might like to be involved include:
• Appearing in the media
• Featuring on one of our websites
• Taking part in an advertising campaign
• Participating in a photo shoot
• Helping us advocate for the rights of cancer patients

We need people of all ages and backgrounds, with any cancer type. The most important thing is that you are prepared to talk openly about your cancer experience. In most cases you will need to share your name, town, age and story along with a recent photograph. We suggest you speak with members of your family about this to make sure that they are comfortable with it.

We will never use your story without first speaking with you and gaining permission. We will treat your information confidentially and will never pass on your details to a third party without first gaining permission. You always have the choice to say no if you wish.

Please fill out this form with as much detail as possible and we look forward to speaking with you soon and answering any questions you might have.

After you have filled in your information, please send an image to info@cancer.org.au
