Petition to the Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) Board of Directors:

We the undersigned urge SMART to honor its enabling legislation passed by the voters and to:

1. Design, fund and build the SMART Pathway along the rail line from Andersen Drive to Second Street at the same time as SMART builds the rail in the San Rafael to Larkspur Operating Segment.
   

2. Amend the SMART Strategic Plan 2014 so that it includes the three important Central San Rafael segments of the SMART Pathway that were removed from the 2009 SMART Strategic Plan, to wit:
   

   a. Andersen Drive to Second Street
   b. Second Street to Mission Avenue
   c. From the path at the top of Puerto Suello Hill to the Civic Center (North San Pedro Drive)

3. Prepare and implement a funding plan and timeline for Measure Q and other funds to be used on all segments of the SMART Multiuse Pathway, in all segments of the train system, as the train system is built, and communicate that plan to the residents of Marin and Sonoma Counties.
