HR Basics for Small Businesses is a free, virtual 4-day workshop that is part of the Office of Economic Development's Recovery Roadmap Business Training Series.

Through engagement and interactivity, this class will provide a foundation of education around key human resources topics most relevant to small businesses including: attracting and retaining employees, hiring and onboarding, benefits, creating policies and handbooks, files and documents, laws and liability protection, and developing and managing employees.

With the knowledge business owners attain, they will become empowered to approach multiple human resources aspects independently. Leslie Andrus, Charlottesville Society for Human Resources Management and the Seraphic Group (Cville SHRM) will lead businesses in this course. Additional information, relevant resources, and tools will be provided for their HR needs.

Please complete this survey in its entirety in order to register. We also ask that only one representative of your business attend the class due to limited capacity.

This class will be hosted online via ZOOM from Monday, May 10th, Tuesday, May 11th, Wednesday, May 12th, and Thursday, May 13th from 2pm-4pm.
