Each year midwives and nurses at King Edward Memorial Hospital act as preceptors for midwifery and nursing students, graduates, return to practice and rural upskilling midwives and nurses.

An annual award ceremony is held to recognise the outstanding contribution that nurses and midwives make to the success of preceptorship at the hospital.

The award categories this year include:

This award sponsored by Hesta is presented to one midwife AND one nurse who have demonstrated outstanding preceptorship qualities in supporting colleagues.
