HSU members in public health and ambulance classifications are due a pay increase on July 1 - that's only 6 weeks away.

Despite the promises made by the current NSW government before the election, we have heard nothing about the removal of the public sector wages cap or the delivery of 100% salary packaging. This means that – if nothing changes – members could receive an increase somewhere between 0-3% on July 1, including the super increase.

HSU members have been conducting industrial action to highlight these issues.

Question Title

* I support the below demands being put to government immediately to provide cost of living relief.
  • An immediate interim 6% pay increase on 1 July, plus a .5% increase to super
  • Immediately kickstarting the process of updating Awards for HSU members
  • Immediate 100% salary packaging
  • Immediately reconvene the Paramedic Taskforce to implement paramedic professional rates.
