The PARE is a multi-dimensional assessment that the boards of pharmacy may use as an auxiliary tool when making decisions regarding pharmacist practice deficiencies that are due to noncompliance with practice standards and/or laws and regulations which may result in compromises to public safety.

NABP recommends that outcomes of the PARE be interpreted within context of each examinee’s situation and used in conjunction with other information in support of board action.

In accordance with best practices in test development, NABP is requesting that its member boards complete a survey regarding the content and subject matter of the PARE. This information will be used to evaluate the current subject allocation on the examination and may be used as validity evidence to make recommendations for changes to the examination content.
