2024 OpSTEM & LSAMP Scholar Application |
General Overview
Thank you for your interest in Operation STEM (OpSTEM) & the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Programs at Cleveland State University.
The two support programs provide an engaging experience for students interested in STEM majors to excel in their Precalculus and Calculus courses, a community of supportive & like-minded peers, a 1-credit Introduction to University Life course (ASC 101 or ESC 100), individualized coaching from the director and assistant director, and assistance via STEM Peer Teachers who deliver mandatory supplemental learning sessions in Precalculus and Calculus classes to help promote successful CSU STEM graduates.

Additionally, first-year scholars will earn monetary stipends:
- 2024 Summer Institute: $400 CampusNet Scholarship
- Fall 2024 Scholar Requirements: $300 CampusNet Scholarship
- 2025 Winter Institute: $200 CampusNet Scholarship
- Spring 2025 Scholar Requirements: $300
