“Rescuing the Canary in the Coal Mine: Anxiety and Stress Go to College.
What to Know, What to Do”
 

The NEFDC welcomes proposals for interactive workshops (55 minutes), teaching tips (25 minutes) and the poster session related to anxiety, stress and neurodiversity within higher education. Our conferences attract both faculty and faculty developers. We welcome sessions that focus on teaching and/or faculty development.  
 
Topics might include:

  • Anxiety across disciplines, specifically math, sciences, writing, reading
  • Assisting students, faculty and staff with stress and anxiety management
  • Neurodiversity, learning differences, and executive functioning
  • Learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Universal Design and creating accessible and effective learning environments
  • Teaching and learning in higher education
  • Topics related to faculty support and faculty development
  • Teaching tips and general classroom management strategies
  • Backwards design, learning outcomes, and/or assessment of learning
  • High impact practices in higher education

Please only list presenters who will be attending the NEFDC conference. Should your proposal be accepted all presenters will be required to be registered by the early bird deadline for the presentation to be listed in the program.

While the list of authors may represent all contributors to the project, all presenters must register by the early bird date (one month prior to the conference) in order to confirm their place in the conference.
