We are offering funds to help address barriers to routine childhood immunizations. Sites that administer vaccines* can apply for $1,000 or $2,500 per project through this opportunity. Funds can be used for but are not limited to:
We are offering funds to help address barriers to routine childhood immunizations. Sites that administer vaccines* can apply for $1,000 or $2,500 per project through this opportunity. Funds can be used for but are not limited to:
- Vaccine storage and equipment (refrigerators, digital data loggers, clinical supplies)
- Translation services
- Staff travel to vaccination clinics or events
- Public transportation or ride share vouchers or credits (funds may not be used for gas, rideshare, or store gift cards)
- Creation and distribution of vaccination education materials
- Vaccine education events for the community
- Staff for vaccination clinics
All funds awarded are considered federal funds (CFDA 93.268). The grantee must comply with all state and federal requirements. Funds may not be used for lobbying, alcohol, and all other unallowable costs as outlined in 2 CFR Part 200. Funds may not be used for the purchase of gift cards for distribution to clients.
*Eligibility: Geographically located in the following counties: Boone, Champaign, Southern District of suburban Cook County, Cumberland, DeKalb, Lee, Livingston, Macon, Winnebago.
- Must be a school, school-based health center, local health department, mobile vaccination unit, or private practice that administers vaccines with nonprofit or equivalent status.

Timeline:
- Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis.
- Sites are notified of their application status by September 22, 2023.
- Funds must be used by December 31, 2023.
- Funds will be paid in 1 installment within 90 days of contract execution for projects not including client travel. Funds will be paid within 45 days of receipt of invoice of reimbursable expenses (template provided) for projects including client travel.
- Final reports are due within 30 days of completion of project or by January 10, 2024, whichever is earlier.

Multiple Projects
If a site wishes to complete multiple projects, they may apply multiple times (submit a separate application for each project). Projects may not be the same (ie two vaccination clinics) but must be different and unconnected (ie vaccine storage equipment plus client travel stipends). Individual projects are still required to be $1,000 or $2,500 and are subject to all other requirements.
