1. Scholarship & Nominee Information

The NCSEA Howard G. Baldwin Memorial Scholarship is offered for the 2023 Leadership Symposium, August 6-9, 2023 in Anaheim, California.

The Howard G. Baldwin Memorial Scholarship shall be awarded to an individual within the child support community who, through exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, has made a significant impact on the child support program. This scholarship shall cover the fees and costs listed below.  

The scholarship recipient will receive:
  • Leadership Symposium registration
  • Three nights hotel lodging (August 6, 7 & 8, 2023)
  • Travel expenses not to exceed $500.
  • One year NCSEA Individual membership
Individuals are to be nominated by a manager/supervisor, or a peer, such as someone who has benefited from the assistance and guidance of the nominee. Individuals nominated must have at least five years of management or supervisory experience. The nomination statement (from the nominator) must:
  • Be a maximum of 200 words
  • Describe the significant impact(s) made by the nominee,
  • Explain how the nominee has supported and mentored his or her colleagues.
  • By submitting the nomination, the supervisor/manager confirms that, if selected, the nominee has permission to travel to the NCSEA 2023 Leadership Symposium in Anaheim, California.
The deadline for 2023 scholarship applications is Friday, May 5, 2023. All supporting materials must also be submitted by that date.  Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
