Bastion Geometry Designer - Bicycles

The Role:
As our geometry designer you will be responsible for designing the fit, comfort, and handling characteristics of each of our bicycles. The role is suited to a technically minded person who enjoys working with people and takes joy in helping them build their dream bikes.
Responsibilities:
• Geometry Design: using our proprietary in-house design tool you will create geometries for our clients to meet their needs for comfort, handling and aesthetics
• Engineering Documents: You will use CAD to produce customer drawings and engineering reports.
• Bike Fitting: You will custom fit clients in our fit studio to optimise their position on the bike for both comfort and performance.
• Monitor market trends: Stay up to date with bicycle technology, geometry, fitting, and performance trends across the industry.
• Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate lasting relationships with customers, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
• Resolve Inquiries: Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Product Development: Work closely with the development team to ensure new platforms have enough bandwidth to accommodate our customer's needs.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sports Science highly regarded
Experience: Whilst we require no specific experience for this role as training can be provided, certain experience will be beneficial and reduce the amount of training required.
• Siemen's NX skills are highly regarded, but experience in other CAD packages such as CATIA, Solidworks, will also be useful.
• BikeCAD skills will be useful in learning the role • Bike-fitting experience is highly regarded • Customer service
Other Requirements: • A passion for working with people and excellent inter-personal skills • Outgoing and friendly • Attention to detail • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Salary:
$55,000 to 90,000 p.a. + superannuation depending on experience level.
