This survey is for all Manitobans to gauge their interest in the implementation of a Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA+) within Manitoba and to share their experiences with accessing resources and meeting their needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

By gathering community responses across Manitoba, this survey will ensure that the Institute for International Women’s Rights - Manitoba (IIWR-MB) understands Manitobans' interest in their Gender-Based Analysis Plus policy (GBA+) proposal and that the proposal submitted by the IIWR-MB provides a cross-sectional response to the intersectional needs of people in Manitoba. This survey, and subsequent focus groups and interviews, will form the foundation with which the IIWR-MB drafts a proposal for bringing a GBA+ to Manitoba. The intention is that this proposal will be shared with members of the Manitoba Legislature who may be willing to bring legislation forward to enact such a policy change.

The Institute for International Women’s Rights - Manitoba (IIWR-MB) is a community-focused organization that reaches out to individuals and organizations in Manitoba that are working in the general area of gender equity and justice. We are incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in the Province of Manitoba with a mission to create a community of practice focused on gender equity and justice through advocacy, education, and action. The funding for this project is provided by the Department of Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE) through their Feminist Response and Recovery Fund.
