1. Introduction and about you

Children and Young People with Disability Australia (CYDA) is the national representative organisation for children and young people with disability aged 0 - 25 years. www.cyda.org.au

The early years of a child’s development can impact their entire lives. Research tells us, inclusive and accessible early childhood experiences are one of the surest and most sustainable pathways to an inclusive life and all the benefits that brings to the child and their family.

We hope you can complete this survey to tell us about the early childhood education and care of the child or young person with disability in your family.

The survey has 4 main parts:
1. Information about the child and their learning
2. Questions about supports and funding
3. Opportunity to share information about some of the negative experiences
4. Thinking ahead and your ideal school experience

This online survey will take approximately 15 - 20 minutes to complete. Your responses will be kept confidential and we do not collect identifying information such as your name or IP address.

By completing this survey you are consenting to your anonymous survey responses being used for research purposes.

For more information contact CYDA at info@cyda.org.au or phone 03 9417 1025 or 1800 222 660 (outside metropolitan Melbourne) or visit our website www.cyda.org.au.

Purpose:  Early childhood education and care are the first steps of an inclusive life. CYDA wants to make sure that families and children get the support they need to ensure an inclusive experience as early as possible.

Information is power and the more gathered, the better CYDA can advocate for our community. We are doing this survey so we can clarify and analyse the needs of children with disability. Your stories help us advocate for what's needed. CYDA's ongoing advocacy, submissions, projects and partnerships will be informed by the issues and experiences shared.
