Located in Exeter Township, Daniel Boone Homestead is the 569-acre boyhood home of pioneer and frontiersman Daniel Boone. The site has a wide range of historical, cultural, natural and recreational resources. Visitors to the homestead can view and enjoy the Homestead’s historic structures and natural settings. The map shown displays the different existing areas within the site. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, access to buildings has been closed, but visitors are welcome to walk the grounds.

The Daniel Boone Homestead Master Plan is a partnership between Exeter Township and the Pennsylvania Historic and Museum Commission (PHMC). Simone Collins Landscape Architecture with Applied Ecological Services, and Patterhn Ives Historic Architects have been commissioned to complete the Master Plan. The Master Plan will examine and evaluate the natural resources and man-made infrastructure and engage in a robust public involvement process toward generating recommendations for facility improvements.

For more information, please contact Pankaj Jobanputra, Project Manager, Simone Collins Landscape Architecture at or call 610-239-7601.

Exeter Township invites you to participate in this public opinion survey that will inform recommendations for the Master Plan. This survey will be available until August 31, 2021.
