Apply for a cycle track for your school's playground area!

RIDESHARE’S SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL BICYCLE TRACK GRANT APPLICATION
Rideshare’s Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program will be offering county public schools grant funds for school-site bicycle track striping. The purpose of bicycle track striping is to help children practice riding with others by providing a safe environment to teach proper signaling, yielding, and starting from a full stop. Our basic track design has a number of different types of intersections and street signs to create real-life situations. The following application is the first step toward being considered for bicycle track striping at your school. Rideshare has funding for approximately three cycle tracks to be put in each year.

Selected applicants will receive support in the form of bicycle track plans, track design, funding for work and paint, and direct Rideshare staff support as necessary. Additionally, Rideshare will market your school as a Safe Routes to School community member in PR, advertisements, newsletters, and on our website.

Background:
The mission of Rideshare’s Safe Routes to School program is to educate and empower school communities with how-to tools and incentives for K – 12 students and parents to encourage the use of active transportation choices and create change in family/student commuter habits.
