The Community Inclusion and Services Program advocates for the provision of accommodations, services, treatment, and technology necessary to support the choices of people with disabilities to safely and meaningfully participate as equal citizens in any social, economic, or political aspect of community life.
DRW priorities addressed by this program include: 1) Right to have full accessibility needs of participants met at public events, facilities, and in media; 2) ADA Curb Cut Compliance; 3) Access to Public Transit; 4) Medicaid Waiver Participant Rights; 5) The Right to Fair Wages; 6) Right to Employment and Career Preparation; 7) Prevent School Restraint and Seclusion; 8) Prevent Discriminatory Suspension & Expulsion of Students with Disabilities; 9) Improving Effectiveness of Abuse and Neglect Response Systems; 10) Improving Conditions in Residential Settings; 11) Kids' Community Mental Health; 12) Quality, Available Advocacy; 13) Right to be a Parent; 14) Voter Outreach and Education; 15) Supported Decision Making and Alternatives to Guardianship.
