Please use this form to submit your proposal to present an afternoon breakout session at a Tech Days East workshop.

All topics related to the intersection of technology and libraries are welcome! Possible topics include, but are not limited to: gadgets, emerging trends, apps, innovative tools, social media, coding, e-content, privacy, makerspaces, Google services, and teaching tech to patrons.  Presentations could also focus on serving specific audiences (i.e. preschoolers, tweens, teens, older adults, people who require specific services, etc.)  This list of suggested topics is not meant to limit your creativity!

Also, attendees of previous Tech Days workshops have requested sessions that...
  • are no-cost or low-cost to replicate, or
  • include Bring Your Own Device hands-on training on a specific thing (e.g. Canva, Google Drive, etc.), or
  • have options for use by patrons of all ages and varied abilities, or
  • provide ideas for improving patron library experiences or streamlining workflow, or
  • demonstrate a tool, explain criteria used to choose it, suggest policies regarding it, and give examples of how patrons engage with it
Each afternoon breakout session at Tech Days East is one (1) hour: this could be 45 minutes of presentation + 15 minutes for questions or activities, or 60 minutes of presentation.  Alternately, your presentation could be 15 minutes in length, and we will group yours with other short presentations.

This workshop will be held on three dates and locations in September -- you are encouraged to present your session at one or more locations. You and your co-presenters will receive a complimentary lunch and mileage reimbursement.

Deadline for proposal submissions: 11:59pm on Friday, June 15, 2018 June 29, 2018.
