Colorado Department of Education Shield
State law requires a review and revision of Colorado’s Academic and English Language Proficiency Standards every six years, with the first review to be completed on or before July 1, 2018. The department has engaged a Colorado English Language Proficiency (CELP) standards committee which has been working diligently to build resources and support in implementing the CELP/WIDA Standards Framework for Colorado. A survey was conducted in Colorado in spring 2016 to gather input on the implementation needs for the CELP standards to focus the committee’s work. Following that survey, it was determined that the work would focus on building a resource website through which districts and schools can navigate to support their needs with CELP/WIDA standards.

The committee is seeking feedback on the draft work to date on this new resource website.

In addition to the questions within this survey, the committee has developed a draft CELP Standards Resource document meant to illustrate key elements and categories the resource website will offer. Please refer to the provided resource document to guide your responses on this survey. Once the new CELP resource website is live, it will link directly to the documents and/or specific pages indicated in the resource document.

Thank you so much for your time and input.
