On Tuesday 8 December 2020, the Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL) turned 90!

Over the course of the year that follows we will be marking this milestone by reflecting on our rich history and looking towards the future - an Australia free of poverty.

To commemorate our 90th anniversary, we would like to share stories from our wonderful BSL community. Stories of hope. Stories of resilience. Stories of commitment to creating lasting change.

As a valued member of our community, we would like to invite you to share your BSL story.

It could be a story about volunteering at one of our op shops, participating in one of our work and learning training programs, or any other memory from the last 90 years where BSL has impacted you -  or even someone you know - in a positive way.

By sharing your story, you can help others better understand the work we do, and the difference that we can make in the lives of people facing disadvantage. You may even inspire others to get involved and join us on our mission!

How do I share my story?
We’ve made it as simple and easy as possible. You can share your story by simply:
  1. Writing a few paragraphs about your story
  2. Uploading a photo, or even give us the link to video you have filmed, so that we can hear your story straight from you.
Your story may be shared on our website, in our publications and emails or on social media. We will respect your story and appreciate the opportunity it provides to raise awareness of our work, and our mission to eradicate poverty in Australia.
