The Citygate Network 2022 Annual Conference and Exposition is soon. The event will be held June 1-4 at the Marriott Rivercenter San Antonio, just steps from the River Walk.

One of the most vital parts of constructing the convention is lining up meaningful seminars well in advance. We are giving you, as a Citygate Network business member, the opportunity to send us your ideas as we build the seminar lineup. This is a great way to contribute to the success of member ministries across North America and let our members get to know you better. Keep in mind that there are many factors affecting whether or not we invite someone to teach. Opportunities to present are typically reserved for businesses that register to exhibit at convention (Information on exhibiting and sponsoring at the event will be available in January). Beyond that, content value, subject balance, educational goals, past ratings, and a number of other elements are considered by the selection team.

Here's one valuable tip: Citygate Network members do not respond well to seminars that have a sales overture included, so if your proposal seems "pitchy," it might get pitched. Remember: If the people in your seminar get value from the presentation, they know what you do and where to find you when they have a need. Here are a few other nuggets as you consider whether or not you'd like to submit a proposal:

-Don't spend too much time on introductions.
-Use statistics effectively.
-Interactivity and discussion is appreciated, IF it's well controlled, balanced with teaching, and beneficial.
-An authentic connection between Scripture and educational content is appealing to our members.

Also note that topics need to fit into one of our education tracks (the Counseling track is taught by an outside organization). To view the seminar tracks and the topics we cover in those tracks, click here. (opens in a new window).

With that, please fill in the information below by November 19, 2021, and our team will review it. You may enter up to three seminar proposals per presenter. Feel free to send the link to others within your company who may not be listed as individual members. If your seminar is selected, we'll endeavor to let you know by mid-February, but please keep in mind this is a fluid process with a lot of moving parts and, typically, a few hundred proposals to evaluate. If you're wondering about the status of your submission, feel free to reach out to me at jboles@citygatenetwork.org.

Thank you!
