About the survey
Basketball ACT is rolling out the Inclusive Basketball Program which aims to provide opportunities that encourage diversity and empower people, while promoting basketball as a safe and inclusive sport for all.
The first stage of the program is a member survey which will help us understand current attitudes towards the same sex attracted and gender diverse people. We also want to obtain feedback on how Basketball ACT can make basketball more inclusive and supportive for everyone.
Basketball ACT will not obtain any personal information from survey participants and will treat all information obtained from the survey data in a sensitive manner. A survey report will be written outlining the results from the survey and a set of recommendations. Comments from survey participants included in the report as quotes might be edited to protect the potential identification of the survey participant; however, should this occur the report writer will ensure that the sentiment of the comment is accurate.
Basketball ACT will analyse the survey data and develop strategies to support inclusive basketball, based on the feedback provided. The strategies will then be rolled out, in consultation with clubs and stakeholders.
