A. Introduction

The American Academy of Audiology is conducting a large-scale national survey to gather data on the characteristics and activities of Audiologists. The evidence gathered from this survey will help provide an accurate description of Audiology practice.  The Academy is also conducting a pediatric survey and you may receive links to both surveys; if your primary focus of practice is pediatric, please complete that survey.

Your participation in the survey is critically important. You will be asked to rate the importance and frequency of activities performed in practice by Audiologists. The survey takes about 30-45 minutes to complete. Please complete the survey by June 13.

If you provide your email address in Section D of the survey, you will be entered into a drawing to win one of several prizes ($25 gift cards, $50 gift cards, and complimentary full registration to AAA 2023).

As a reminder, if you are unable to complete the survey in one session, you can re-access the survey at the point that you exited, provided you use the same device. The survey will be accessible online until June 13. Your participation is voluntary and your individual responses will be confidential. If you have any questions or difficulty, please contact kwerner@audiology.org.

Thank you for your dedication to the profession and your assistance with this important work.
The survey is organized as follows:
A. Introduction
B. Pre-Survey Demographic Questions
C. Six Domains of Audiology Practice
     1.  Assessment and Diagnosis of Patients with Auditory Disorders
     2. Treatment of Patients with Auditory Disorders

     5. Practice Management and Administration
     6. Advocacy, Public Service and Prevention
D. Post-Survey Demographic Questions and Summary
E. Additional Optional Questions on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
Please read each question carefully and respond by selecting the option that most closely represents your answer. Choose the answer that best applies to your current practice on a typical day when providing direct patient care. We understand that there are variations in practice and want to know your practice patterns.
