Artists' Fees & Payments Survey

8% of survey complete.
NAVA needs your help to benchmark artist payments nationally and update our Fees & Payments Schedule for the benefit of artists and organisations across Australia.

The National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA) leads advocacy, policy and action for an Australian arts sector that’s ambitious and fair. NAVA’s Code of Practice for the Professional Australian Visual Arts, Craft and Design Sector sets thorough arts industry guidelines that benchmark best practice. Our key strategic goal is to promote the ethics, build the relationships and secure the commitments that make the Code the enforceable standard for professional practice. NAVA is currently working on a major revision the Code to ensure it remains up-to-date, fair, and reflects the best interests of the artist and arts worker.

Purpose of Survey
In response to numerous requests, we are aiming to revise and publish the updated Artists' Fees & Wages schedule ahead of the upcoming Australia Council four-year funding deadline (in early April 2019).

In order to do this, we need your help. Fast.
This survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. If you would prefer, you are welcome to send through your organisation's spreadsheet of artists' fees & wages or dictate your answers over the phone. You can contact NAVA's General Manager Penelope Benton directly via pbenton@visualarts.net.au.

Deadline
1 March 2019

What about salaries?
We aim to do another survey to collect information on salaries and wages as part of Stage 2 in August - September 2019.

Confidentiality
While NAVA asks for information including the name of your organisation, confidentiality will be strictly observed. The data supplied will be used only to develop industry payment benchmarks and for NAVA research purposes. We ask for organisational information to avoid duplication and for internal data processes only. No reference to individual organisations will be made in any published material.

Questions regarding the purpose or procedures of the survey should be directed to admin@visualarts.net.au.

Thank you for your time.
LET'S DO THIS.
