The "African Champion" award recognizes the African company that has contributed most to regional economic integration through its presence in Africa, its regional expansion strategy, and implementation thereof.


Eligible candidates :
Any African company that has generated at least €50 million in turnover and is present in at least three African countries.

Candidature by application, third-party nomination (company or individual), or identification by the Africa CEO Forum’s editorial team.

Jury :
The Africa CEO Forum editorial team

Criteria :
- Number of countries in Africa (excluding country of origin) in which the company is present
- Number of subsidiaries in Africa and number of subsidiaries opened in Africa in the past year (excluding country of origin)
- Percentage of total income generated in Africa (excluding country of origin) over the past year
- Percentage of income increase generated in Africa (excluding country of origin) over the past year
- Pan-African expansion strategy 

Procedure : 
- The call for applications will be open from 14 november to 31 december 2018. 
- The winning organization will receive its trophee during a dedicated session at the next edition of the AFRICA CEO FORUM, the 25 and 26 march 2019 in Kigali (Rwanda). 
- The nominated companies will be informed a few weeks before the event. They must commit to sending one of their leaders to the Africa CEO Forum.
