Patient awareness about advanced Parkinson’s
This survey aims to understand people with Parkinson’s perception and knowledge about the treatment options available to them. In particular, our goal is to understand if people with advanced Parkinson’s receive timely and adequate information about these different treatment options from healthcare professionals.
This survey is aimed at people living with Parkinson’s and their carers, without limitations of age, date of diagnosis or stage of their condition.
‘Advanced Parkinson’s’ generally refers to a time when symptoms have become more complex and have a stronger effect on day-to-day life – and when non-oral therapies begin to be considered as a viable option to manage symptoms. In the Hoehn & Yahr rating scale, advanced Parkinson’s is represented by stages 4 and 5 (see Stages of Parkinson's).
This survey is supported by and developed in partnership with Britannia Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
Adverse events should be reported. Reporting forms and information can found at https:\\yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/ or search for MHRA Yellow Card in the Google Play or Apple App Store.
