Impact of the Loss or Reduction of Federal Funding on Tribal Cultural Institutions

This survey is intended for tribal cultural institutions (including museums, libraries, archives, language programs, and cultural centers) as well as nonprofit and community-based organizations that serve Native Nations or Indigenous communities. It seeks to understand the potential and real-world impacts of reduced or eliminated federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

Your input is critical to informing national advocacy, legislative engagement, and potential legal strategies. It will also help ATALM document the importance of continued investment in Native-led cultural work across the U.S.

Time is of the essence as the elimination of funding is underway. Deadline to complete the survey: Friday, April 11, 2025.
