Now in its 13th year, NASA’s International Space Apps Challenge (NASA Space Apps Challenge) is a global hackathon for coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, technologists, and others, where teams can engage with NASA’s free and open data to address problems on Earth and in space. The NASA Space Apps Challenge inspires collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking that fosters interest in Earth and space science and exploration. It leverages this interest to encourage the growth and diversity of the next generation of problem solvers.

Each year organizations around the world come forth to engage with the NASA Space Apps Challenge. We collaborate with a selection of these organizations to:
  • Increase awareness of the NASAs Space Apps Challenge
  • Attract a diversity of participants to the NASA Space Apps Challenge
  • Provide participants with optional tools and resources that enable the creation of solutions in the NASA Space Apps Challenge
