* 11. Chicopee is considering replacement of permanently closed pools at Szot park and Fairview Park with Splash Pad facilities. Generally, pools are open for 2-3 months each summer, and require lifeguards and entrance fees. Splash pads can be open for up to 6 moths per year, require no staffing, and operate longer each day for no additional fees.
