Public Survey #1

You are invited to participate in a survey for the MY Commute Lake County Study. Information gathered from this survey will help the study team analyze effective ways to reduce single-occupancy vehicles throughout Lake County. During heavy commuting times, vehicles with only one person in them, or single-occupancy vehicles (SOVs), make up a vast majority of the cars on the road. If a modest percentage of SOVs are reduced, the impact is significant on congestion in Lake County. This survey is being conducted to help Lake County better understand the driving habits of commuters and barriers the general public, employees, and employers may have to non-SOV commuting options. We understand COVID-19 has changed lifestyles in dramatic ways. At various points throughout this survey, you will be asked to answer a question as if COVID-19 has passed. Information gathered from this survey will help achieve the study’s goal of reducing single-occupancy vehicles throughout Lake County.

The survey asks for information regarding your current commute options, how likely you would be to use other modes of transportation, and some basic demographic information about you. All information that you provide will be confidential and will only be used for study purposes. The survey should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.

Your participation in this survey is voluntary. However, your responses will help us learn more about ways to improve commute options in Lake County. If a question has an asterisk before it, that means a response is required. Your feedback is essential to the success of the MY Commute Lake County Study and we thank you for your participation.
