¿Está su hijo(a) en riesgo de diabetes tipo 2?
Type 2 diabetes is significantly worse in the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) compared to both Texas and the United States. Data for adults living in the RGV shows that at least 1 in every 4 adults has type 2 diabetes. However, a growing concern is the rapid increase in children with risk factors for type 2 diabetes. In an effort to gather more information & diabetes statistics as it relates to children in the Rio Grande Valley, we are kindly asking for your participation in this survey.
Please note that this survey is designed for children between the ages of 10-19 years and is not meant to substitute your child's medical care provider's advice.
La diabetes tipo 2 es significativamente peor en el Valle del Río Grande (RGV) en comparación con Texas y los Estados Unidos. Los datos de adultos que viven en el RGV muestran que al menos 1 de cada 4 adultos tiene diabetes tipo 2. Sin embargo, una preocupación creciente es el rápido aumento de niños con factores de riesgo de diabetes tipo 2. En un esfuerzo por recopilar más información y estadísticas sobre la diabetes en relación con los niños en el Valle del Río Grande, le pedimos amablemente su participación en esta encuesta.
