The American College of Surgeons Quality, Safety & Cancer Conference planning team is collecting content and topic submissions for the 2027 conference! Share a quality improvement project your team has put into practice, tell us about a problem you think the field needs to solve, or suggest a general topic you would like to see included in the program.

Please provide enough details for the planning team to understand the concept. You are welcome to suggest potential speakers; however, identifying speakers is not required at this stage. All topic and speaker recommendations will be reviewed by the QSCC planning committee, and submission does not guarantee inclusion in the conference program. Speaker invitations and arrangements, including complimentary registration, will be determined upon selection. Stipends and expense reimbursement are not anticipated.

This form is not for abstract submissions. The Call for Abstracts will open on December 7, 2026.

Please submit your session idea by December 3, 2026 at 11:59pm CT.

About Submission
Each session will be 60 minutes, and we suggest no more than 4 speakers (not including a moderator) for each session. At this time, you do not need to submit speaker information.

You can submit a topic/session idea for one of the following three session types:
  1. Quality Improvement in Action: Share a quality improvement project your team has put into practice. Tell us what problem you addressed, what changes you made, what you learned, and what results you have seen so far. This option is for teams interested in sharing practical work that others could learn from or adapt.
  2. Case Study Workshop: From Challenge to Change: Tell us about a persistent or emerging problem that deserves focused attention. Describe where the challenge shows up, whom it affects, and what makes it difficult to address. This option is for ideas that could bring attendees together to explore approaches and identify practical next steps. You do not need to have a solution.
  3. General Topic Suggestion: Suggest a quality, safety, or cancer care topic you would like to see covered at the conference. Tell us what attendees should learn, why the topic matters now, and whose perspectives would make the discussion useful. You can submit a broad idea or a specific session concept; you do not need to identify speakers.
