  4. For step-by-step instructions on completing the survey, you can watch our video guide here.
  5. The survey asks about your personal experience with issues around dignity in the workplace. It is made up of several themed sections, including: Demographics; Training & Development of Arts Practice; Negative Perceptions; Systemic Barriers; Reporting; Accessing Supports.
  6. SurveyMonkey will predict that the survey takes approximately 1 hour. However, depending on how many Demographic categories you fall into, the time it will take you to complete it will vary - 1 category: approx 30 - 35 minutes; 2 categories: approx 45 - 50 minutes; 3 categories: approx 50 - 60 minutes
  7. Due to the intersecting nature of this research, you may be asked similar questions across sections - this is by design and is intended to gather as much granular information as possible about your lived experience.
  8. We recommend you complete this survey on a laptop or desktop computer.
  9. To move back and forward between pages if you want to review or edit your answers, make sure you do not use the back / forward buttons on your browser. You must use the green ‘PREV’ and ‘NEXT’ buttons at the bottom of each page.
  10. If you need to take a break from the survey at any point, you can exit and re-enter it later to complete it, either by minimising your web browser, or exiting out of it completely. However, in order to make sure your saved progress is registered, you must return to it on the same browser and the same device. If you click on the survey link again from a new browser or a new device, you will have to start the survey from the beginning and your progress will not have been saved. PLEASE NOTE: Certain individual cookie and privacy settings may affect your ability to return to your place in the survey.
  11. The survey is completely anonymous and we ask that you do not provide names of alleged perpetrators when responding to questions.

CONTENT NOTE: Some of the language is direct and you may find it uncomfortable in places. However we feel it is important to be direct with the questions so that you are clear what we mean and to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the issues faced in the sector. If you are not comfortable answering any of the questions, you can tick ‘Prefer not to say’ and you will be able to continue the survey. If you are affected by any other issues raised in this survey, you can contact these support organisations:
