2022 Survey

This survey is to report summarized data that your state, school district, or company has received from drivers on school bus illegal passing incidents. Note:  Prior to completing the survey, and in order to prevent duplication of reporting, please contact your state's director of student transportation (http://www.nasdpts.org/Directors/index.html) to find out whether your state is reporting directly instead of from the local school district level. If you are a school district or contractor authorized to report directly, please insert your district or company name under "2. School District or Contractor" below.

This data is assembled into an annual report to document the problem of illegal passing across the United States. The survey is coordinated by the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services (NASDPTS).  The survey is vital to improving the the safety of students in school bus loading zones.  The survey is frequently cited by policy makers when updating stop arm running laws and other safety countermeasures.
