About the Study

I am asking you to participate in a research study titled Panhandling in the St. John’s Urban Centre. You are being invited to participate in a web-based online survey about panhandling in the urban center of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, CA. Amnesty Cornelius is leading this study, in association with the City of St. John’s and Thrive. Ellie Jones, Director of Programs, Education & Outreach, is supervising this research on behalf of Thrive. The survey should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

This survey is for folks in the community who interact with people who panhandle.
For the purposes of this study, panhandling is defined as any form of asking passersby for donations (money, alms). This can include busking, street games or art, squeegeeing and more.
If you would like to skip any questions, please do.
Feel free to provide as much information and detail as you would like.
